We are based in Derry City in the north west of ireland, we have supplied and installed glass to people and businesses all over the UK and Ireland. Can I have powerpoints of light switches in the glass?
Yes, this is no problem, when an exact template is taken with these locations are included in the measurements. this addtional processing does cost additionally more than a standard splashback. These can include corner cut outs, centre cut outs, socket cut outs and holes for securing with screws.
Please note:
- In general any glass with holes should have a width at least 8 times the thickness of the glass.
- The distance between the glass edge and the hole should be at least twice the glass thickness.
- When two or more holes are required in a piece of glass then the distance between the holes should be at least half the hole diameter or twice the glass thickness.
- The minimum diameter of a hole must be 5mm for glass thickness up to and including 5mm and for thicker glasses, at least the thickness of the glass being drilled.
What colours can you paint glass splashbacks?
We have the capabilities to manufacture splashbacks in an expansive range of colours. We are able to match colours. please see our colour page for more information.
Are there standard sizes for splashbacks?
There are no standard sizes for splashbacks, we custom make every single splashback to suit your home. With a maximum of 3210 in length and 2400 in height. Sizes may be restricted due to access.
What shapes are available?
Glass panels can be cut to almost any shape of size. Most splashbacks are either a rectangle or T piece. We can shape to match curved range hoods. we recommend a template is used of all spalshbacks.
How should my walls be prepared for the glass?
The ideal surface is a smooth plasterboard finish or equivalent. Splashbacks can also be installed onto a range of other surfaces, providing the area is true, clean and dry. The area should be prepared as if it is to be painted.
How do I care for my glass splashback?
We recommend for best results to use a streak free glass cleaner and a good quality paper towel or lint free cloth. Avoid abrasive eg. scowering pads, avoid using spirits or solvents to clean the glass.
